Welcome to my website!
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself!
A native of the Sacramento Region, I am the daughter of a WWII veteran and a retired teacher. Coming from a working-class family, I am especially proud of the hardworking families that make our state great. My husband and I are privileged to live and to raise our two sons in this growing and diverse region.
I believe that as California continues to grow, we must work hard to ensure that our communities are well planned. Mixed land use, walkable neighborhoods, transportation choices, housing opportunities, open space, environmental impacts and support of local economic and job development are all key issues in building strong communities. We must also strive to revitalize our existing communities.
As a woman and a Latina, I am especially committed to empowering all people through a strong educational system. If elected, I will will promote public education and address the needs of educators and schools from early childhood education through college. Investing our efforts in our educational system today is an investment in California’s future.
